Oddly satisfying baked goods.

Our generation is obsessed with food. We're not only looking for things that taste good, it's also very important to us it looks good - and Russian confectioner Olga Noskova knows this only too well.

Her perfect sweets look like nicely polished marble and are so oddly satisfying that it's very hard to look away.

Just look at these beauties:

OMG get in our mouth.

But... On the other hand, they're almost too perfect to be eaten.

Even the insides of the cakes are picture-perfect. We really do hope they taste as good as they look.

'But How does she do it?', you might ask.

While Olga is not quick to reveal the ins and outs of her craft, Reddit user SuperDrew124 shared the secret behind this mirror-like glaze.

20g Gelatin Powder
120g Water
300g Glucose
300g Sugar
150g Water
200g Sweetened Condensed Milk
300g Chocolate (White, Milk, Dark or a combination)
Food Coloring

1) Bloom the gelatin in the water;
2) Boil the glucose, sugar & water;
3) Remove from heat and add the gelatin;
4) Add the condensed milk;
5) Pour over chocolate and buerre mix to remove air bubbles, use at 35C/95F.

When you pour different colour glazes all at once, you'll get the realistic marble effect you can see in Olga's pictures.

Doesn't seem too complicated now, does it? We'll definitely try it this weekend.

And for now, we'll just stare at these perfectly glazed cakes until we reach nirvana.
