Make your own Netflix socks that pause your show when you fall asleep

Crafting on crack.

Netflicks socks

Is there anything worse in life than falling asleep watching Netflix and waking up to discover, not only have you lost your place in your episode, but you've woken up at a critical moment that gives away the entire plot line?

NO THERE IS NOT. It is life's ultimate fuck you.

And now Netflix, heavenly provider of entertainment that it is, has offered us a solution: Netflix socks. And not just any socks. Socks that pause your show if you happen to doze off. So you can wake up to the exact point your mind conked out.

GENIUS, right?

Yes. Though obviously there's a catch.

YOU HAVE TO KNIT YOUR OWN SOCKS.

And ever if you're a star knitter, you then have to fashion your own electrical circuit. And we're gonna guess that there are few people in this world proficient at both these skills.

A tutorial on Netflix explains exactly how to create the socks. And happily, you can just use any old socks. WELL WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO?

When you fall asleep, the socks will need to send the appropriate signals to your TV, either to stop, pause of power down. And most importantly, you'll have to programme in what signals the socks will need to recognise to know that you've nodded off.

Stop the world, humanity has peaked.
